Fiat Punto EVO launching tomorrow
Fiat India, the Indian arm of Italian car maker Fiat Motors will launch its highly awaited hatchback the advanced version of Punto hatchback codenamed as Punto EVO finally in Indian car market tomorrow. The Fiat Punto EVO has been promoted as the advanced version of existing Punto, however it will carry the same two engine options in petrol version and diesel variant with two tune of power generation as offered in the existing version of Punto.
The petrol version would be offered with two engine options of 1.2 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 67 bhp and torque of 96Nm., the other engine in petrol version would be offered with 1.4 litre petrol engine churning the power of 88.8 bhp and torque of 115Nm. On the other side diesel variant will be empowered with 1.3 litre MJD diesel engine with two tunes of power generation i.e., 75 bhp and torque of 200 Nm, followed by 92 bhp and 209 Nm torque respectively.
Apart from this the hatchback has undergone various contemporary changes making it completely the generation next hatchback. After launch it is expected to compete against Volkswagen Polo, Swift from MSIL and the generation next Hyundai Elite i20.
