Fiat Punto Abarth captured under lenses
Expected to launch on October 10, 2015 Punto Abarth hatchback from Italian car maker Fiat has been caught at one of its dealers located in Karnataka. The model of Punto Abarth seen by spies was completely covered without giving any indication of the features that would be offered on the exteriors and interiors of this hatchback. The company has already commenced the booking of hatchback on the down payment of Rs. 20,000. It is anticipated to be priced around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom price).
The hatchback would be offered in petrol variant which would be empowered with 1.4 litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 145 bhp and torque of 200 Nm, it would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. According to reports revealed so from different sources the hatchback carries sportier look than Punto which can be witnessed from the front grille with horizontal plates at front fascia. Apart from this it also receives secondary air dams, 16 inches dual colored alloy wheels, new sportier rear bumper, rear ORVMs, and side decals.
Inside cabin the steering wheel receives badges of Abarth, newly developed seat upholstery supported by dual colored (red and yellow stitching). The hatchback would also be equipped with contemporary safety features ABS+ESP, hill start assist system, EBD, and hydraulic brake assistance system. Once launched in Indian car market it will rival against Volkswagen Polo GT TSI.
