Facelift Swift In The Pipeline Of MSIL, Launch By Year-End

It is rumoured that Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is working on bringing the facelift Swift hatchback in the Indian car market by the end of this year. According to reports recently the parent company Japanese carmaker Suzuki Motors had launched the facelift Swift in Britain with minor changes along with an option of a hybrid engine. It is believed that the 2021 Swift in India will come with the same changes as offered in its facelift version launched in the Japanese car market earlier this year. Most of these changes will be minor and offered only on the front fascia. Some of these changes include chrome garnished front grille with a new bumper and LED headlamps.
 
Maruti Suzuki Swift Existing Version
 
Under the hood, the Indian version of facelift Swift will be equipped with a new BS-VI 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine outsourced from the facelift Dzire. The engine generates the power of 91 PS and the torque of 118Nm. The transmission duties will include the offer both the manual and automatic transmission systems. The unit with manual transmission system will deliver an average of 23 kmph, whereas one with an automatic transmission system will deliver an average of AMT transmission system. The 2021 Swift will be sold in line with its existing version of 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine boosting the power of 82 bhp and the torque of 114Nm.  
 
As far as changes inside the cabin are concerned there will be not any major changes except the upgraded dashboard with a new colour treatment, new upholstery, and headliners. The Indian version of Swift will miss the features like paddle shifters, and a 360-degree camera view. It will be offered with the existing seven-inch Smart Studio Touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.
