Facelift Mercedes-Benz C-Class Launched In India, Priced Rs. 40 Lakh
German luxurious car maker Mercedes-Benz has launched the facelift version of its C-Class sedan in the Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 40 lakh (ex-showroom price). The facelift 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class would be offered with the diesel engine configuration with three trims namely C 220 d Prime, C 220 d Progressive, and C 300 d AMG Line. The variants C220 d Progressive and c 300 d AMG Line are offered with the price tag of Rs. 44.25 lakh and Rs. 48.50 lakh (ex-showroom price, India) respectively.
Talking about the features offered in facelift C-Class, it would be interested to know that in new avatar it undergoes vast cosmetic updates both outside and inside the cabin. On the exterior front it receives diamond pattern grille outsourced from A-Class, although this pattern is followed only c300 d AMG line. As far as first two trims C220 d Prime and C220d Progressive are concerned that are offered with dual plated chrome grille as offered in E220 d. As far as other common features in all three trims are concerned, the list includes LED DRLs, new front bumper and new LED headlamp. The side profile receives new alloy wheels and updated ORVMs. The rear fascia receives subtle changes in form of new LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin, it receives some mind blowing features in form of generation next telematics, 10.25 inch touchscreen display, NGT 5.5 smartphone integration enhancing the comfort of the interiors. The top end variant C 300d is also offered with options of saddle brown and black upholstery.
Under the hood, it is empowered with 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine that is developed to generate two types of power tunes, one 194 bhp and the torque of 400Nm, for C220 d Prime and C220d Progressive and 245 bhp and 500Nm for C 300d AMG Line. The transmission duties are performed by nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission system.
