Details Of Tata Altroz Revealed Online Before Launch
The domestic carmaker Tata Motors is set to launch the facelift of its premium hatchback Altroz in the Indian car market on May 22, 2025. It will be the first update on this hatchback since its launch in 2022. In a teaser video released by the company, the updated Altroz undergoes major interior updates to offer an enhanced travelling experience to passengers. With this facelift, Tata aims to strengthen its position in the Indian hatchback segment, dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza.

The video released by the company reveals that inside the cabin Altroz receives improved looks in the form of a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Accompanying this is a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The dashboard receives a new look in the form of a gloss black finish, and a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo adds a modern touch. Well, this is not the end of features updated inside the Altroz facelift. It comes with a bunch of additional features like a 360-degree camera system, voice-assisted sunroof, ventilated front seats, an 8-speaker sound system, wireless phone charging, touch-based AC controls, and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.
It is believed that like interiors, the exterior of Altroz will also receive some interesting updates, this may include a sharper front fascia with twin-pod LED headlamps, LED DRLs, a 3D-patterned grille, T-shaped LED tail lamps connected by a full-width light bar, flush-fitting door handles, and new EV-inspired alloy wheels. Under the hood, Tata Altroz is expected to come with the same existing powertrain options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (88bhp), a 1.2-litre CNG (73.5bhp), a 1.5-litre diesel (90bhp), and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (120bhp) which will power the sportier Altroz Racer variant. With these extensive upgrades, the industry experts the Altroz facelift to come with a slight price hike between Rs 6.65 lakh and Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
