Details of Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Revealed
Country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is all set of launch the third generation of its best selling hatchback Swift in the Indian car market during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2018. The bookings of the same have been commenced by the car maker and according to reports the waiting period of new Swift has already crossed the period of two months. The new Swift will be launched in both the petrol and diesel variants continuing the existing 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engine followed by the new 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine. But apart from this, the new Swift will be offered in completely new design and appearance giving it completely a sportier look.
With few days more left in the arrival of new Swift we are highlighting the features that would be offered in different variants of the hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki LXi/LDi: The LXi and LDi are the trims offered in petrol and diesel variants respectively. Both the trims will be offered with body colored bumper and high mounted stop lights. On the safety front it will be equipped with dual front airbags as standard feature, ABS+EBD, brake assist system, front seat belt with pre-tensioner, Isofix with child seat anchorage, engine immobilizer and few more. Along with these features both the trims will also adorn tilt adjustable steering, manual air conditioner with heater, and mated with five speed manual gear transmission system.
Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi/VDi: These trims in both the petrol and diesel variant will be customized with body colored bumper, door handles, ORVMs with turn indicators mounted on ORVMs. Inside the cabin they will be embellished with front seat back pocket, chrome garnished parking brake tip, chrome touch on door handles, piano finished gear knob. On the safety front they will be equipped with same features as offered in the LXi/LDi trims. Other interior features include steering mounted controls for phone, audio, connectivity with Aux, Bluetooth and USB, remote locking, power windows, electric ORVMs and four audio speakers mounted on the four doors of the hatchback. Along with five speed manual gearbox both the units will also be offered with an option of automatic transmission system.
Maruti Suzuki Zxi/ZDi: Continuing the features offered in the LXi and LDi trims the second top unit of new Swift also receives the plethora of extra features in form of front fog lamps, reverse parking sensors, automatic climate control, electronic retractable ORVMs, four speakers and two tweeters, adjustable rear headrests, rear defogger, rear wiper and washer. Apart from this it also comes with the same transmission options as offered in LXi and LDi trims.
Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXi+/ZDi+: Both are the top trims of the new Swift and equipped with all those features that are offered in the above mentioned trims. Apart from them they also embellished additional features like automatic headlights, LED projector lights with DRLs, reverse parking camera, touchscreen infotainment system with Apply CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. One thing which might disappoint the buyers of these trims is that despite of being equipped superior features both the trims are offered only with manual gear transmission system and lack the presence of AMT transmission system.
