Customized Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Thar up for grabs
DC, designs, the country’s premier automotive design firm is known for creating conspicuous designs for the prosperous Indians who want to spoil themselves in luxury.
DC Avanti, the first India made sports car was revealed recently at the 11th Auto Expo held in Delhi in January 2012. The car was uncovered by none other than the superstar of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan. The two new cars which have been spruced up by DC are the Toyota Fortuner Lounge and Mahindra Thar.

Let’s throw some more light on the Toyota Fortuner Lounge. The SUV has been given such a treatment that from the inside it offers comforts as luxurious as a Rolls Royce Phantom. However the front facia is not that impressive but from the inside it can literary blow your head. The interiors now have been painted in blue and white. Usually a Fortuner easily accommodates seven people, but the Fortuner Lounge can carry just two passengers. The second and the third chair have been removed and instead have two huge 24-inch captain’s chairs. These seats are fully powered and can slant 150 degrees.

The TV fitted inside the car is conventional; DC has also fitted iPads at the back of the front seats. These iPads have control over the seating and the lighting. If you also want to customize your Fortuner to Fortuner Lounge then you need to splurge Rs 8.25 lakhs and make your Fortuner a luxurious wagon. Now let’s talk a bit about the spruced up Mahindra Thar. Thar has been refurbished entirely to give a feel of the urban off-roader. DC touched Thar sports a fibreglass body instead of the mediaeval Jeep body.
The customized Thar dons modish interiors matched to black upholstery and an LCD entertainment system in the centre along with these it also adorns sporty pedals. DC Thar comes equipped with an air conditioner to keep the interiors cool. The most enticing feature of the DC Thar is the targa roof. You can upgrade your Thar to a much luxurious one by splurging out Rs 10 lakh.
