Buying Toyota Cars Gets Expensive in India
Toyota Kirloskar Motor the Indian alliance of the Japanese carmaker Toyota Motors, has announced hike the prices of popular models. The price hike will be effective from January. According to resources, the price hike will be effective on vehicles like Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross and Fortuner range, including the Legender and GR-S variants. With the price hike, Toyota has also rationalised its portfolio by discontinuing select variants of the Rumion, Hycross and Fortuner.
However, prices of models such as the Taisor, Hyryder, Hilux, Camry, Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 remain unchanged for now.

Innova Crysta Prices Increased by Up to Rs 33,000
Toyota has increased the prices of the Innova Crysta by up to Rs 33,000. The entry-level GX variants witness the highest hike, while GX+ trims get the hike of up to Rs 21,000. The VX and ZX variants see an increase ranging between Rs 25,000 and Rs 26,000. Post revision, the Innova Crysta is priced between Rs 18.99 lakh and Rs 25.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
Innova Hycross Sees Hike of Up to Rs 48,000
The petrol-hybrid Innova Hycross has also become more expensive; it receives a hike of up to Rs 48,000 on select variants. Toyota has discontinued the base G variant from the lineup. The GX(O) trims now cost around Rs 31,000 more, whereas the VX and higher hybrid variants receive the price hike from Rs 40,000 to Rs 48,000. The updated price range now stands between Rs 19.15 lakh and Rs 32.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Fortuner, Legender and GR-S Get Steepest Hikes
The Toyota Fortuner range has received the biggest price hike. Prices have increased by up to Rs 74,000, while the Legender variants see hikes of up to Rs 71,000. The petrol-manual Fortuner is now Rs 51,000 more expensive, and several 4×4 variants have seen increases exceeding Rs 50,000. The Fortuner range is now priced from Rs 34.16 lakh to Rs 49.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Toyota has also discontinued the dealer-level “Leader” variants.
Rumion Entry Variant Discontinued
Toyota has discontinued the entry-level Rumion E MT variant, earlier priced at Rs 9.51 lakh. The Rumion range now starts at Rs 10.44 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom).
Models with No Price Change
Prices of the these Toyota models remain unchanged: Taisor, Hyryder, Rumion (other variants), Hilux, Camry, Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300.
