Buying Hyundai Verna Gets Expensive By Rs 5,000
Hyundai Motor India Limited has hiked the price of its best-selling premium sedan Verna up to Rs 5,000. The price hike excludes the base variant priced at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom price). The end variant 1.5 Turbo GDi DCT SX(O) DT, will now be available at the price of Rs 17.48 lakh (ex-showroom price). With this price hike, the company has also added a new “Amazon Grey” colour option, extending the colour choices to eight monotone and two-dual-tone colour options.

Under the hood, the Verna receives the power from two engine options including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine churning the power of 114 bhp and a torque of 143.8 Nm. The transmission duties include the option of a six-speed manual gear transmission system and an IVT transmission system. The other engine option includes a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine boosting the power of 157 bhp and a torque of 253Nm. It is available with an option of a six-speed manual gear transmission system and a seven-speed DCT transmission system.
Inside the cabin, the Verna adorns a series of contemporary features including including a large, curved panoramic display that integrates a 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen with support for 12 languages and a digital cluster with TFT MID. As far as interior colour treatment is concerned, it is based on the model. The variants offered with a turbocharged engine are offered with black and red accents, while the regular or standard variants are offered with black and beige colour options.
The list of other premium features includes ventilated and heated front seats, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting with 64 colour options, wireless phone charging, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power-adjustable leather seats.
As far as the integration of safety features is concerned the Verna comes equipped with ADAS Level 2 features, enhancing safety and convenience. Key ADAS capabilities include Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. Six airbags come standard, ensuring a secure drive across all variants.
