According to reports, the bookings of three-dorr Thar dropped to 42,000 units in July 2024 from 59,000 units in May this year. The three-door model currently gets around 5,000 new bookings each month, a figure expected to increase with the introduction of the Thar Roxx. The Mahindra Thar Roxx will feature a design similar to the current three-door Thar but will include several distinctive elements. The new SUV will carry features like LED daytime running lights, LED projector headlamps, and a revamped front grille with thicker slats. Additionally, it will sport redesigned LED taillights and alloy wheels.

Inside, the Thar Roxx will offer a more premium experience compared to its three-door version. The cabin has been refurbished with additional features to enhance comfort and space. The middle doors and a longer wheelbase further add to interior comfort. This new model will also feature a panoramic sunroof, providing an airy and spacious feel for the occupants.

Powertrain Specifications: Although the company has unveiled images of Thar Roxx on multiple surfaces, they haven’t revealed any information about engine configurations. It is expected that the Thar Roxx will come with the same engine options as the current three-door model, although with different power and torque outputs. The current three-door Thar offers a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 117 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, a 2.2-litre diesel motor producing 130 bhp and 300 Nm, and a petrol unit delivering 150 bhp and 300 Nm.
