BMW i4 Goes On Sale In India, Priced Rs 69.90 lakh

The German luxurious car maker BMW today officially launched the i4 electric sedan in the Indian car market with a price tag of Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom prices). It is the third electric vehicle by the carmaker in India after the launch of the iX SUV and MINI Electric, launched in December 2021, and March 2022 respectively.  The BMW i4 is available only in one i4 eDrive 40 variant. It is claimed to be the country’s first electric car that will deliver an average of 590 km on a single charge. The company has initiated its bookings from today and will commence the delivery from the first week of July this year.

Speaking about the power train, the new i4 is developed on BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology that gets the power from a Lithium-Ion battery of 80.7 kWh. This motor generates a power of 335 bhp and a torque of 430Nm. It can touch the speed of 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds. Because of its Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) technology, it is the only electric car in India to deliver an amazing average of 590 kmph.
 
Inside the cabin, it receives Perforated Sensatec upholstery with a dual colour treatment consisting of Canberra Beige and Cognac colour. The notable feature of its interior is a driver-centric cockpit with a BMW curved display with two screens - a 12.3-inch information display and a 14,9-inch control screen. The infotainment system works on iDrive 8 software. The list of additional features includes a wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a wireless charger, and a virtual assistant that helps in performing multiple interior functions through voice commands. It also receives a seventeen Harman Kardon surround sound system and a parking assistant with a reverse camera.
 
On the exterior front, it receives a shart, dynamic, and sporty design with the company’s signature visual as available on other electric vehicles developed by the company. Although it is an electric car, it continues to receive the kidney grille, LED headlamps and blue accents surrounding the BMW Logo, as offered in other cars manufactured by the company. However, being an electric car all features have been tweaked. It also receives L- shaped LED taillights. The company also offers the option of the M Aerodynamic Kit integrated with the features like sportier bumpers, an eighteen or nineteen-inc M Light Aerodynamic alloy wheels and several other elements. It is available in three colour shades including Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey.

It is India's longest-range electric vehicle. Absolute luxury with class-leading ambience, generous space, and rear axle air suspension ensures maximum comfort even for longer trips."
