With the increasing shift towards electric vehicles, some popular electric cars and two-wheeler manufacturers now offer substantial discounts on their products. Electric vehicle enthusiasts in India can now enjoy discounts up to Rs 3 lakh on selected cars and scooters. Buyers can avail price cut-off up to Rs 3 lakh on select electric cars, and electric scooters. According to reports reasons like reduced cost of raw materials, excessive stock of vehicles and the implementation of Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency can be held responsible for discounts offered on electric vehicles.
Discounts On Electric Cars: The major drop in electric car prices is available on Nexon EV and XUV 400. Recent industry reports suggest that both these compact SUVs are available at a discount of up to Rs 3 lakh. This discount is a boon for buyers looking for a budget-friendly electric car for their family.
Similar to the electric car segment, the two-wheeler electric segment is also offering attractive discounts on vehicles empowered with electronic powertrain. Industry reports suggest that two-wheelers like Vida VI Pro and VI Plus from the Japanese auto giant Hero Motocorp are available with cash discounts of Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Another two-wheeler manufacturing company Ather Energy is also offering a discount from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,700 on the Rizta range of its scooters. All these discounts are aimed to encourage the use of electric vehicles among the masses.
E-Commerce website Flipkart is also offering substantial discounts from Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 on the purchase of two-wheelers from its portal. The main objective of all these discounts is to inspire buyers towards the use of electronic vehicles. With these competitive price reductions, the Indian EV market is set to witness a surge in demand. Consumers looking to make the switch to eco-friendly transportation can now do so without straining their budgets.
