Anand Mahindra’s Wholesome Reaction Wins Internet
Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, is one of the highly active celebrities on the Internet, and netizens always wait for his comments and reactions on different posts. In a recent post, Anand Mahindra can be seen reacting with childlike excitement to handcrafted miniature versions of some of Mahindra’s most beloved vehicles. The video, shared by automotive historian Adil Jal Darukhanawala, displays miniature, intricate scale models created by master craftsman Suraj Mane, receiving appreciation from fans and Anand Mahindra himself.

Sharing a clip on Instagram, Adil displays the detailed replicas of Mahindra’s classic vehicles. Suraj Mane, known for his exceptional craftsmanship, has been featured in Adil’s earlier videos for his ability to recreate vintage and modern vehicles with astonishing precision. In the video, Adil says, “How about the fact that we need to have king-sized models in our collection? Well, it’s Mahindra Week, so to speak, and these three king-sized Mahindra models have all been custom-built for me by Suraj Mane.”
The lineup featured three standout miniatures that captured both nostalgia and realism — the Classic FC 160 Pickup, the Legendary Bolero, and the Bolero Pickup.
According to Adilt, the FC 160 Forward Control Jeep Pickup was an early 1960s Mahindra innovation, with production machinery imported to India during that era. Commenting on The Bolero, Adil described it as “the cash cow and one of the most successful Mahindra models ever.” He further praised Mahindra’s ingenuity in evolving its vehicle designs over decades, saying, “The ability of Mahindra to take the basic package which came across with the CJ3B and build on that with different versions – the Bolero pickup, longer wheelbase, bigger load-carrying body, front fascia and cabin straight from the Bolero.”
When Anand Mahindra saw this video, he couldn’t stop himself from commenting. Sharing the clip on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Wait, what?? You had these beauties custom-built by Suraj just for yourself, Adil??! And how do I get some for my grandsons?” Adil humorously responded, “I will try & get him to find time to rustle up a set for you as well!”
The video soon went viral, with fans expressing admiration for the stunning craftsmanship. One user commented, “These models are straight fire. Suraj Mane’s got that artisan magic turning foam into Mahindra legends.” Another added, “This is soooo cool!!”
A nostalgic fan wrote, “Please bring back the yellow pickup. It had a character. My dad owned one and enjoyed riding with him in it.”
