6 Maruti Suzuki Cars Get Costlier With Immediate Effect
The country’s leading car manufacturer and Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has hiked the prices of its six models with immediate effect. According to recent reports, the company has hiked the prices of its famous models including Swift, WagonR, Celerio, Dzire, XL6 and Ciaz. The hike in price varies from Rs 1,500 to Rs 15,000. The new prices are effective from today onwards.
To begin with, the first model to receive the highest price hike is XL6 MPV. The company launched the second generation of XL6 last year. It is now Rs 15,000 costlier than its current price. After the announcement of the price hike, it is now priced at the starting price of Rs 11.41 lakh ex-showroom price. After knowing the model receiving the highest price hike, it's time to talk about the model receiving the least price hike of Rs 1,500. Well, the model to receive the lowest price hike is the best-selling hatchback WagonR. With the implementation of the new pricing policy, the base variant of the hatchback is now priced @ Rs 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom price). The top-end variant is now priced at Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom price).
Another model to receive the same price hike of Rs 1,500 is the Celerio hatchback. The base variant LXi of Celerio is now priced at Rs 5.36 lakh (ex-showroom price). The top-end variant ZXi+AMT is available with a price tag of Rs 7.14 lakh (ex-showroom price). Moving to the other model from MSIL to receive the price hike is the Swift hatchback. Buying the new Swift will not be Rs 5,000 costlier. The base variant of Swift after the price hike is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh and goes high up to Rs 8.97 lakh for the top-end variant. Both prices are ex-showroom prices.
Speaking about the best-selling compact sedan Dzire, receives a price hike of Rs 7,500. The strong contender of Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura is now available at the price of Rs 6.51 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. Finally, the last model to get affected by the price hike is Ciaz. The sedan receives a price hike of Rs 11,000. The Sigma and Alpha trims are now Rs 10,500 expensive, whereas the Delta and Zeta trims are Rs 6,500 and Rs 11,000 costlier.
