5 Star Global NCAP Rating For Tata Nexon Facelift
Global NCAP has just unveiled the results of its latest crash test. This crash test was conducted on the Tata Nexon facelift, which has successfully scored a remarkable five-star safety rating. Scoring an impressive 32.22 out of 34 points in adult protection and 44.52 out of 49 points in child protection, the sub-4 metre compact SUV has once again demonstrated its commitment to passenger safety.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Tata Motors, as the first generation of the Nexon was also the first Indian car to secure a five-star rating in the GNCAP crash test back in 2018. The recent evaluation by Global NCAP highlighted the stability of the bodyshell integrity and footwell area, along with commendable features such as side impact protection doors. During the rigorous testing process, the Nexon exhibited excellent protection for both driver and passenger, with good outcomes for head, neck, chest, and knee areas. Additionally, side protection was deemed satisfactory, with notable shielding for the head, abdomen, and pelvis.
Furthermore, the Nexon meets UN127 and GTR9 requirements for pedestrian protection and complies with Global NCAP's ESC requirements, setting a high standard for safety features in its segment. Equipped with six airbags, an electronic stability program, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors, tilt and collapsible steering, central locking, and hill hold control, the Nexon leaves no stone unturned in ensuring passenger safety.
