2025 Kia Seltos Teased Before December 10 India Launch
The Korean carmaker Kia is all set to unveil the next-generation Seltos in India on December 10, 2025, marking a major update for the popular mid-size SUV. The model has been undergoing extensive testing on the Indian roads. Now the carmaker has officially released a teaser revealing key design highlights.
According to the teaser, the new-gen Seltos is inspired by Kia’s latest global design language. The SUV features vertically and horizontally stacked LED lighting, including bold C-shaped DRLs integrated with the headlamps. A redesigned, wider grille enhances the SUV’s road presence, while an animated LED sequence for the DRLs and headlights brings a premium, tech-forward feel. The teaser also showcases a panoramic sunroof, reinforcing the SUV’s upmarket positioning.
The company has not yet revealed any information regarding interior features. Industry expectations suggest a revised cabin layout, featuring softer materials, a larger touchscreen, and redesigned seats for enhanced comfort.
Under the hood, Kia is likely to retain its current engine lineup—1.5L petrol, 1.5L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel. However, recent test sightings hint at the addition of a strong-hybrid powertrain, potentially boosting fuel efficiency and expanding the SUV’s appeal. Transmission options are expected to continue with manual, iMT, and automatic gearboxes, with likely improvements for smoother performance. The new-generation Seltos aims to deliver a more premium, efficient, and feature-rich package as it prepares to enter India’s highly competitive mid-size SUV market.
