Volkswagen Ameo Upgraded With GT Line-Up
September 9, 2019: German car making group Volkswagen has upgraded the compact sedan Ameo with GT Line variant. Alike to Volkswagen Polo and Vento the Ameo, also undergoes the cosmetic updates and continues with existing 1.5 litre turbo diesel TDI and 1.0 litre petrol engine. The diesel Ameo GT Line is offered with the price tag of Rs. 9.99 lakh, while the price of petrol variant is yet to be announced by the car maker.
Spies again capture Volkswagen Ameo Diesel being tested on Pune roads
July 28, 2016: Once again after the gap of month spies have captured diesel variant of Volkswagen Ameo being tested on Pune roads. The diesel variant is expected to make its debut sometimes during the festive season. Physically there will be no changes in the diesel variant except the integration of 1.5 litre TDI engine which generates the power of 108 bhp and will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system followed by option of seven speed DSG transmission system as option.
Volkswagen Ameo Diesel spied on Pune Roads
June 20, 2016: According to reports spied have caught diesel variant of recently launched compact sedan Ameo by German car maker Volkswagen on Pune roads. Recently the first ever compact sedan by car maker was launched in Indian car market in petrol variant. The diesel variant is expected to be empowered with with 1.5 litre TDI diesel engine and will generate the power of 108 bhp and mated with five speed manual gearbox and seven speed DSG transmission system.
Volkswagen Launches Ameo in Indian car market
June 6, 2016: German car maker Volkswagen has launched its highly awaited and first ever compact sedan Ameo in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 5.24 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Currently the petrol variant of Ameo has been launched which adorns 1.2 litre petrol engine and mated with five speed manual gear box. Ameo is first compact sedan in segment which is equipped with front dual air bags and ABS at standard feature.
Volkswagen Ameo first unit came out from production section
May 26, 2016: The first unit of Volkswagen Ameo came from production unit after company commenced its production on May 25, 2016. The production unit was brought out from production facility in the presence of Mr. Mr. Andreas Lauermann, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen India and the team of expert manufacturing Ameo.
Volkswagen begins the production of Ameo compact sedan
May 25, 2016: German car maker Volkswagen has began the production of its first compact sedan Ameo at its production unit Chakan located in Pune. To be offered in both petrol and diesel variants comprising of .2 litre 3 cylinder MPI engine boosting the power of 74 bhp and torque of 110Nm and 1.5 litre 4 cylinder TDI machine generating the power of 89 bhp and torque of 230Nm. Ameo is expected to priced between Rs. 5.5 lakh and Rs. 9 lakh.
Volkwagen Ameo to be equipped with two engines
May 16, 2016: Volkswagen Ameo is one of the hottest vehicle’s to debut this year in Indian car market. The compact has been already unveiled globally by car maker and bookings of the same are also going on since May 12, 2016. It is reported that Ameo will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants equipped with 1.2 litre three cylinder and 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine and mated with five speed manual and seven speed DSG transmission system.
Volkswagen starts bookings of Ameo
May 12, 2016: German car maker Volkswagen has commenced the bookings of its first ever compact sedan Ameo in India from today. With this the car maker has also revealed a brochure of the same revealing its features and other specifications. It will be offered with three engine options comprising of 1.2 litre MPi petrol engine and two engine options of 1.5 litre TDI MT and 1.5 litre TDI DSG in diesel variant. It will be offered in three trims namely Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The last engine configuration 1.5 litre TDI DSG will be offered only in Comfortline and Highline trims.
Volkswagen launches its first ever compact sedan Ameo in India
