May 23, 2019: According to the recent reports the generation of the Corolla has succeeded in receiving 5 starts in the recently concluded EURO NCAP test. The new Toyota Corolla is reported to be launched in both the sedan and hatchback versions. In India it will be launched in the sedan version and will make its debut sometime during the next year.

 

March 16, 2017: Japanese car maker Toyota Motors has launched the generation next Corolla Altis in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 15.37 lakh for petrol variant and Rs. 17.36 lakh for diesel variant, both the prices are ex-showroom prices. Under hood the new Corolla Altis continues the same existing engine configuration of 1.8 litre petrol Dual VVT-I engine and 1.4 litre diesel engine. The list of cosmetic changes include newly developed front grille, 16 inch alloy wheels and new LED headlamp cluster with DRLs on the exterior front. Inside the cabin it receives new stylish instrument panel with soft touch dashboard and upgraded Flaxen color treatment.

 

July 22, 2016: According to recent reports Japanese car maker Toyota Motors is going to launch the upgraded version of its luxurious sedan Corolla Altis sometimes during next year in Indian car market. Recently the car maker unveiled it in Russian car market. Continuing the existing engine configuration the refreshed Corolla Altis will be upgraded on both exterior and interiors front.

 

March 28, 2016: Japanese car maker Toyota Motors has revealed the pictures of generation Corolla expected to be launched in Indian car market by the end of this year. According to reports the generation next Corolla undergoes cosmetic updates on both exteriors and interiors which are reported to be the same as offered in hybrid Corolla. It is reported that there would be no changes under bonnet and will continue with existing 1.8 litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engine configurations.

 

 

December 1, 2014: Toyota India the Indian arm of Japanese car maker Toyota Motors has recalled 5834 units of Corolla Altis manufactured during June 2010 to May 2011. It is reported that these units have been recalled due to engine oil seeping into air intake system of sedan.

 

July 8, 2014: The next generation Toyota Corolla Altis from Japanese car maker has recently made its debut in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom price) for base trim in petrol variant and Rs. 13 lakh (ex-showroom) for base variant in diesel trim. It would be interested to know that surprisingly there is demand of automatic version in petrol variant which has been launched in two trims G AT with price tag of Rs. 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom price) and VL AT which is priced Rs. 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom price).

 

June 6, 2014: Japanese car maker after showcasing the 11th generation Corolla Altis during Beijing Motor Show 2014 and successfully launching the same in Indian car market recently. Toyota Motors is going to launch the same sedan in Chinese car market during the month of September this year. In Chinese car market the sedan would be launched with two engine options of 1.8 and 1.6 petrol engines respectively.

 

May 27, 2014: Japanese car maker Toyota Motors has launched the 11th generation Toyota Corolla Altis in Indian car market with basic price of Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). The Petrol variant of the Toyota Corolla Altis gives a decent mileage of about 10.5 Kmpl in the city whereas delivers around 14.5 Kmpl on the highways.
