Toyota is now ready to launch its new product Toyota Avanza by the end of December 2015 . Replacing Toyota Innova, the company has planned to keep the product’s price low and it will come in international Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) segment. The shape of the vehicle is like MUV and SUV too. It is smaller in size than its hatchback sibling which will give ease of driving in traffic jams. Toyota has unveiled petrol version of Avanza but it is expected that a diesel version will be also launched. Since Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner, it is the third Toyota product which will be launched internationally as Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle.

Toyota is planning to launch Toyota Avanza as a multipurpose vehicle rather than SUV to avoid the decrease in sales of Toyota Innova. This to be launched Toyota product would attract buyers interested in compact SUV’s and that too at affordable price. Its price is expected to be around 7 lacks and comparing it to Toyota Innova, it will have a smaller size and smaller engine capacity.

Toyota Avanza will offer better fuel efficiency although its power efficiency will be low than other cars in the market. The car is expected to have features like robust design, masculine edges, sharp elegant features, rigidness and bulkiness. It is expected that it will give a tough competition to Mahindra Xylo, Chevrolet Tavera and the newest offering from Nissan NV200.

Toyota Avanza will be launched as an IMV and will be positioned below the Toyota Innova. The all new Toyota Avanza promises better mileage and fuel efficiency. The petrol version will deliver 11.2 kmpl in city region while on highway its mileage increases to 15.8 kmpl. The maximum power of the car is expected to be 109PS at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. Toyota Avanza engine capacity is expected to be 1495 cc and this figure is enough to imagine the power it produces keeping in mind the fact that the car is much smaller than Toyota Innova. VVTi stands for Variable Valve Timing intelligent and it is responsible for the car’s higher performance, better fuel economy and less emissions.
