Tata launches Movus in Nepal

August 8, 2014: Indian car maker Tata Motors has launched its SUV Movus in Nepal car market. The SUV has been launched earlier this year in Indian car market and is considered as the upgraded version of Grande Sumo. The SUV sports 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine boosting the power of 118 bhp and torque of 250Nm.

Tata Movus is the new initiative from domestic car maker Tata Motors, Movus is considered as an advanced version of its elder sibling Sumo Grande and is regarded as the perfect traveling vehicle for large family of seven to nine members. The car has been offered in two variants CX and LX both equipped with 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine with displacement capacity of 2179cc developing the power of 118.35 bhp and torque of 250 Nm. Apart from being blessed with various remarkable and comfort features Tata Movus is offered with warranty of three years or 1,00,000 kilometers whichever occurs earlier.

Tata Movus Power, Engine and Performance:

Tata Movus is energized with high powered 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine equipped with 260 dia 'Concentric Sleeve Cylinder' and 'Self Actuating Clutch' which enhances the performance of engine and minimizes pressure on clutch. The engine further produces 118.35 bhp at 4000 rpm and torque of 250Nm at 1500 to 3000 rpm. The engine is coated with five speed manual gearbox and delivers an impressive average of 15.16 kmpl.

Tata Movus pick up and acceleration:

Energized with 2179cc diesel engine and integrates CSC+SAC clutch system, the engine accelerates the maximum speed of 140 to 150 kpm and reaches the maximum seed of zero to 100 kmph within the span of 15 t0 16 seconds.

Tata Movus Interiors:

The spacious cabin sufficient space to passengers which further enhances the travelling experience followed by use of superior quality of raw materials. The silver garnish at various places makes the interiors of Movus more impressive. The front fascia of Movus receives black colored bumper along with with a wide air intake section. The headlight cluster receives an aggressive design and is equipped with a pair of high intensity halogen headlamps and turn indicators. The large radiator grille has been developed with three horizontal strips garnished with chrome and integrates company’s logo at the centre. The front windscreen receives wipers. The external mirror caps and the door handles are in black color, while the A, B, C and D pillars have been body colored treatment. The rear portion is developed with clear lens taillight cluster which further enhance the look of rear portion.

Tata Movus is blessed with various remarkable safety features which include motorized head lamps adjustment, driver door ajar warning, height adjustable seat belts, high mount third brake light, child safety locks for the rear doors and an anti glare inside rear view mirror .

Tata Movus Braking and Handling:

The front wheels carry disc brakes followed by single pot caliper each while the rear wheels receives traditional drum brakes along with discs for instant and proper braking in all types of traffic conditions.
