Like other Tata products Tata Indigo is also one of the most fuel efficient vehicles launched by domestic car making company Tata Motors. At the time of its actual launch Indigo was launched in both petrol and diesel variant, but in current scenario when prices of petrol are hiking at jet dynamic speed company has launched Indigo in CNG variant to which it has named as Tata Indigo Emax. The petrol variant is equipped with 1.2-litre 64.1bhp 16V MPFi Petrol Engine, having the displacement capacity of 1193 cc. This engine develops the power of 65 PS at 5000 Rpm and 100 Nm at 2700 Rpm. On the other side diesel variant is blessed with 1.4 litre of TDI turbocharged diesel engine with intercooler, but is offered with two options of displacement capacity one having the displacement capacity of 1405 cc and the other one having the displacement capacity of 1396 cc. Engine develops the power of 70Ps @ 4500rpm along with maximum torque 135Nm @ 2500rpm. Moving ahead the recently launched CNG variant is equipped with 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, 8-valve petrol engine with displacement capacity of 1193cc.  It develops the power of 68bhp at 5000rpm and    maximum 135Nm torque at 2500rpm.

With highly advanced technology Tata Indigo eCS has come up with 3 different powerful engines which emits enormous amount of power & torque for all its variants to make the driver feel passionate.

The petrol variants has MPFI BS4 engine with 32 – Bit microprocessor. This 1193cc petrol engine churns out 65 PS @ 5300 rpm of maximum power and 135 Nm @ 2500 rpm of maximum torque. The MPFI petrol engine delivers 65 bhp and provides better average in the petrol variants.

Whereas there are two different diesel engines which include TDI & CR4 diesel engines.
