Nissan GT-R Overview

December 10, 2016: The version of Nissan GT-R introduced in Indian car market is the second generation of this giant sports car which made its world debut back in December 2007 in Japanese car market and later in United States of America and Canada in 2008 and in March 2009 in International car market.  Offered with the option of four wheel drive, the sports giant is empowered with twin-turbo six cylinder engine. The second generation of GT-R introduced in Indian car market is miles ahead from its predecessor. The four spoke steering HICAS wheel has been replaced with new steering wheel followed by new V6 VR38DETT engine replacing the earlier in line 6RB26DETT engine. Continuing the GT-R’s legacy the chassis of new car has been named as CBA-R35, with CBA referring to standard of emission, outsourced from its Skyline version which is also recognized as Godzilla.
 
The Indian version of GT-R is empowered with 3.8 litre, V6, DOHC, twin turbocharger engine with displacement capacity of 3799cc.  The engine generates the power of 474 bhp at 6400 rpm and torque of 588Nm at rpm varying between 3200-6000. The transmission duty is controlled  by GR6 dual-clutch six-speed transmission system, which is further mated with three driver-selectable modes comprising of Normal, R-mode and Snow mode. The car touches the top notch from standstill to 100 kmph in the span of 3.5 seconds followed by the top notch of 311 kmph. With fuel tank capacity of 74 litres, the sports monster is reported to deliver an average an 10.23 kmpl.
