MG Motors Testing Hector Facelift On Indian Roads
November 21, 2025: JSW MG Motor is preparing the 2026 MG Hector Facelift, recently spotted testing with light camouflage. The SUV is expected to receive new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille, and updated alloy wheels, while retaining its existing lighting elements and sheet metal. No mechanical changes are planned, as the current 1.5-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines will continue. Feature updates may include improved infotainment, seat ventilation, and additional ADAS features. The facelift will compete with Harrier, Safari, XUV700, and Scorpio.
MG Motors Launches Hector SUV In India, Priced Rs. 12.18 Lakh
June 27, 2019: British car maker MG Motors has launched its first vehicle as a Hector SUV in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 12.18 lakh. The Hector is equipped with some remarkable features that are offered for the first time in the segment. Under the hood, it is offered with three engine options of 2.0 litre diesel, 1.5 litre petrol, four cylinder turbocharged engine and 1.5 litre petrol engine with 48 volt Hybrid Motor. The transmission duties consist of six speed manual transmission system as standard in both the diesel and petrol variants followed by six-speed dual-clutch transmission system in variant with Hybrid Motor.
MG Hector Features Leaked Ahead Of Its Unveil
May 15, 2019: Although the British car maker MG will unveil its first entry level vehicle Hector in India on May 15, 2019, its features have leaked into the cyber world prior to this. According to the reports revealed on the internet the SUV would be offered in four trims namely Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. It will be offered with two engine options of 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine option.
