October 16, 2025: Maruti Suzuki has announced price reductions across its entire passenger vehicle lineup following the GST 2.0 tax revision effective from September 22. Small cars now attract 18% GST instead of 28%, while larger models also benefit from lower taxes. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny has become cheaper by up to Rs60,000, with prices now starting at Rs12.32 lakh (ex-showroom). The Jimny continues to feature its 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine and AllGrip Pro 4WD system.

 

February 5, 2025: The India-made Maruti Suzuki Jimny has garnered more than 50K bookings in the Japanese car market after the announcement of its prices by the parent company. The five-door off-roader is named as Nomad in Japan and empowered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The transmission duties include a five-speed manual gear transmission system and a four-speed automatic transmission system.

 

June 7, 2023: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has finally launched the much-awaited Jimny SUV in the Indian car market. The entry-level Jimny is priced at Rs. 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the top-end variant is priced at Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom) prices. Under the hood, it will come equipped with a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, boosting the power of 105 hp and a torque of 134 Nm. It is developed on a ladder-frame chassis and with a non-independent front and rear suspension system.
