Mahindra Bolero Neo Looks
Exterior Design and Quality
The Bolero Neo has a combination of both TUV300 and Bolero, which makes it suitable for both urban and rural buyers equally. Mahindra has lowered the bonnet by 20mm, giving the front fascia a balanced and less intimidating look. The redesigned grille, sharper bumper lines, updated fog lamps, and DRLs with static bending functionality enhance the visual appeal while keeping the SUV’s masculine character intact.
Standing at 1817mm, the Neo remains taller than many rivals, including the Tata Safari, providing a commanding road presence. The top-spec trims feature 15-inch alloy wheels, while the lower variants come with steel wheels of identical 215/75 R15 tyre specification. Beltline cladding, roof rails, side steps, and a body-colored D-pillar give the SUV a robust silhouette.
Mahindra offers five colour options: Dsat Silver, Pearl White, Diamond White, Napoli Black, and Rocky Beige. The exclusive Bolero Neo Bold Edition features a black exterior with dark chrome accents and roof rails, highlighting a premium look for the top-end variant.
Interior Design and Comfort
Mahindra has endeavoured to make the interior of the Bolero Neo simpler and user-friendly than luxury, with a wide, airy space and durable materials. Light upholstery, a utilitarian dashboard, and well-laid-out knobs and dials make the interior functional and simple. While the black contrast panels offer decent texture, the plastics elsewhere feel basic yet resilient.
Front Seats: Large, well-cushioned, and supportive, the front seats provide comfort for long drives. The height-adjustable driver’s seat and tilt-adjustable steering wheel offer a commanding position to the driver. The presence of individual armrests for the driver and co-driver enhances the interior comfort. The only drawback is the height between the door and the central armrests, which could be refined.
Rear Seats: The second row seats are exceptionally spacious and designed to offer a comfortable sitting experience to three adults, followed by significant legroom and headroom even for taller passengers.
Third Row: The third row seats are designed to offer comfort to children or an average-sized adult. The absence of seatbelts and headrests, however, makes them unsuitable for regular use.
Storage & Practicality: Door pockets, cup holders, and cubby spaces provide basic storage. The glove box is narrow, and second-row passengers do not have dedicated cupholders. Charging provisions are limited to a single 12V socket at the front, with no USB ports for rear passengers — an area Mahindra could improve.
Additional Interior Features
The Bolero Neo prioritises essential functionality over modern infotainment luxuries.
• Infotainment: 7-inch touchscreen system (no Android Auto/Apple CarPlay) paired with a six-speaker audio setup.
• Controls & Comfort: Steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, powered ORVMs, power windows.
• Instrumentation: Top trims feature a 3.5-inch MID providing trip data, distance-to-empty, and fuel efficiency.
