February 19, 2019: Launched back in October 2018, the new Hyundai Santro hatchback has been nominated for the 2019 Urban World Car, thus becoming the first ever Indian car to make its place for the award. In its new generation, the Santro is equipped with 1.1 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine that is capable of boosting the power of 68 bhp and the torque of 99Nm. The transmission duties are performed by five-speed manual gear transmission system, followed by an option of five-speed AMT system. 

 

November 27, 2018: According to the recent reports the generation next Santro hatchback by Hyundai India Motors Limited, launched back in the month of October this year, has received an encouraging response from the Indian buyers. It is reported that within the month since its launch the hatchback has garnered about 38,500 bookings and the number is believed to soon touch the mark of 50,000.

 

October 10, 2018: According to recent reports HMIL, the Indian alliance of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has commenced the bookings of generation next Santro, at the down payment of Rs. 11,100. The new Santro is slated for launch on October 23, 2018. According to the reports the new Santro will be miles ahead from its predecessor in terms of features. It will be equipped with the new 1.1 litre Epsilon series engine generating the power of 68 bhp and the torque of 99 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gearbox and will be offered with an option of five speed Amt system. 

 

Coming to the looks of this hatchback, it does not explore some new horizons but as a hatchback it wears decent looks to make a space in the Indian auto market. Rectangular headlamps with chopped left corner are mounted on the front of this car. Coming to the front view of the famous hatchback, one can see the well placed grille with special three parallel body color radiator. The company’s logo is again placed in a perfectionist way on the grille which also improves its identity on roads.  The Hyundai Santro Xing is given black colored conventional outer rear view mirrors (ORVMs) and black is also seen on the door handles and waistline molding. The attractive part of this hatch is the rear view. The rear side view of the small car looks more appealing than the front one; it has vertically stacked tail lamps clusters, wider rear windshield, black sleek moulding on the body colour bumper and rear spoiler in top-end variant.
