February 7, 2017: HMIL, the Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has launched the 2017 Grand i10 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 4.58 lakh for petrol variant and Rs. 5.68 lakh for diesel variant. Along with bunch of cosmetic changes the new Grand i10 empowers new diesel engine configuration of 1.2 litre diesel engine replacing the existing 1.1 litre diesel engine.

Hyundai to Name Facelift Grand i10 as Grand i10 Prime

January 12, 2017: According to reports emerging in cyber world HMIL, the Indian alliance of Korean car maker will name the facelift version of Gand i10 hatchback as Grand i10 Prime, by which it is sold in International car market. The facelift version of Grand i10 is slated for launch sometimes during the month of February this year and will undergo various cosmetic upgrades with existing engine configurations.

Special Edition of Grand i10 to launch in April

March 30, 2016: According to reports HMIL the Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to launch the Special Edition of its hatchback Grand i10 Indian car market for celebrating the successful existence of twenty years in Indian car market. Under the hood special edition will continue the existing engine configuration in both petrol and diesel variants and will receive some cosmetic updates like special floor mats, parcel tray, seat covers, sport pedals, and door sil plates.

Hyundai Grand i10 scores zero in Latin NCAP test

September 15, 2015: It is reported that Hyundai Grand i10 from Korean car maker has failed in Latin NCAP tests conducted recently in Latin. The hatchback failed to score zero stars in offering protection to adult occupants and could score only two stars in offering child protection. The unit of Grand i10 that was tested missed the features like airbags, ISOFIX seat anchorages and ESC equipment. The unit tested was recently offered in Argentina.

First anniversary of Grand with ‘SportZ Edition’

July 8, 2014: HMIL has introduced the LPG variant in its recent hatchback Grand i10 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 4.92 lakh (ex-showroom price) for solid color followed by Rs. 4.96 lakh (ex-showroom price) for metallic color. The PLPG variant is energized with 1.0 litre VTVT engine which is also offered in its sibling Eon developing the power of 68 bhp and torque of 92Nm.

July 3, 2014: Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has silently added LPG variant equipped with 1.0 litre Kappa petrol engine in its highly acclaimed hatchback Grand i10. The LPG variant has been offered in Magna trim of Grand i10 and has been offered with price tag of Rs. 4.96 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). The engine empowered in LPG Grand i10 is Euro V compliant 998cc Kappa petrol engine with Dual VTVT technology. The engine is capable of generating the power of 68 bhp and torque of 94Nm and would be coated with five speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai to launch Grand i10 in Australia next year

June 26, 2014: Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is going to launch the Grand i10 hatchback in Australian car market sometimes during the next year. The version of hatchback to be sold in Australia would be European version and will be launched with two engine option in petrol version.

November 8, 2013: Finally the Korean auto giant Hyundai Motors has launched automatic version of its recently launched car Grand i10 in Indian car market with price tag of Rs 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom price in Chennai). The automatic version is energized with 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine generating the power of 79 bhp and torque of 112 Nm. The power to front wheels is transited through four speed AT box.
