King Of Indian Roads To Return In Near Future

 
The Hindustan Ambassador, often referred to as the “King of Indian Roads,” is one of the most iconic cars in India’s automotive history. Manufactured by Hindustan Motors from 1957 to 2014, the Ambassador was originally based on the Morris Oxford Series III, a car model produced by the British carmaker Morris Motors. Its strong muscular body, spacious cabin, and authoritative presence made it one of the highly preferred cars in India by all segments, including government officials, politicians, and big families for several decades.
 
In 2017, the Ambassador brand entered a new phase when Hindustan Motors signed an agreement with Groupe PSA (the French automotive group) to sell the brand rights and trademarks for  Rs 80 crore. This partnership involved two joint-venture agreements, laying the foundation for a potential revival of the legendary model.
 
The news regarding the re-launch of the brand got stronger in May 2022, when Hindustan Motors announced to reintroduce the Ambassador nameplate with a refreshed design and a completely new engine. According to reports, the company has even started working on the development of the engine. The comeback of the Ambassador is highly anticipated, as it promises to come with the combination of its nostalgic charm, merged with modern engineering and contemporary styling, bringing a legendary name back to Indian roads.

Hindustan Motors to sale Encore under Rs. 5 lakh

 
September 3, 2013: Hindustan Motors, country's domestic grown car manufacturing company has announced that its initiative Ambassador Encore will be priced at Rs. 4.97, 996 lakh (ex-showroom price) under "no refusal segment". Company will start the booking of Encore from September 3, 2013. With this company has also announced that it will offer sufficient discount to the customers who are interested to buy Encore for commercial purpose.

Hindustan Motors Ambassador BS4 diesel launch in few weeks

May 28, 2013: Hindustan Motors will soon launch the BS4 complaint diesel engine powered Ambassador in India. The company will offer a BS-IV 1.5 Liter diesel motor new version of the flagship sedan that would promise to offer better fuel economy and power. HM India will be launching this fuel efficient trim of the sedan in Indian auto market in July-August this year. Including BS-IV norms complaint cities the new diesel model will be made available in to 17 big cities across the country.
