September 8, 2020: It is reported that the details of the features that would be offered in the Ford Endeavour Sport Edition 2020 have surfaced online. The Sport Edition has started reaching the dealerships across the country and is believed to be launched during the upcoming festive season. Under the hood, it would be equipped with a new 2.0-liter diesel engine generating the power of 170 bhp and the torque of 420Nm. The transmission duties are reported to be performed by the existing ten-speed automatic gearbox. It is reported to be inspired by the Ford Everest Sport Edition, which is one the sale in the Australian car market, and therefore believed to outsource most of its features on the exterior and interior fronts.

 

February 20, 2019: Ford India, the Indian alliance of U.S. carmaker is all set to launch the new Endeavour in the Indian car market on February 22, 2019. Interestingly, prior to this, the carmaker has revealed the features that would be offered in the new Endeavour. According to the reports the new Endeavour would be offered with the existing engine configuration of 2.2 litre four-cylinder and 3.2 litre five-cylinder diesel engines. The changes that would be offered will be subtle in form of new bumpers, new front grille, new dual tone interiors and a few more.

 

February 6, 2019: According to the recent reports, Ford India, the Indian alliance of U.S based car maker is going to launch the facelift Endeavour in the Indian car market on February 22, 2019 and commence its sales from March 2019. Continuing the existing engine configuration of 3.2 litre single turbo diesel engine, generating the power of 200 PS and the torque of 470Nm and mated with six speed automatic transmission system, the new Endeavour will undergo subtle cosmetic updates.

 

September 27, 2016: Ford India the Indian alliance of US car maker has slashed the prices of Endeavour Trend variant in Indian car market up-to Rs. 2.82 lakh. The price slash has been offered on 2.2 4x4 AT, 2.2 4x4 MT and 3.2 4x4 AT trims. However, company has retained the price of 2.2 4x2 MT trim in Trend variant. Prior to this in the month of August company had hiked the prices of its entire range. In Indian car market Ford Endeavour is offered with two engine options of 2.2 litre, 4 cylinder TDCi engine boosting the powero f 158  bhp and torque of 385Nm. Another engine configuration offered in 3.2 litre diesel engine that churns the power of 197 bhp and torque of 470Nm.

 

August 17, 2016: According to recent industry reports Ford India, the Indian alliance of US car maker Ford has hiked the prices of Endeavour up-to Rs. 50,000, however going through the increase of 4% in excise duty by the Central Government in Union Budget has highly influenced the price hike.

 

March 30, 2013: It is reported that spies have caught the generation next Ford Endeavour being tested on roads in Trivandrum of Tamil Nadu. According to spies the prototype of Endeavour was partially camouflaged and spies were able to get clue about the features that would be offered on the exteriors. It is reported to receive new Endeavour receives trapezoidal grille and projector headlamps at front fascia, new alloy wheels and OVRM mounted indicators on the side profile.

 

October 31, 2014: It is reported that the US based car maker Ford is going to unveil its SUV Everest aka Endeavour on November 14, 2014. The India bound SUV was showcased during the Bangkok Motor Show 2014. The SUV in Indian car market is being sold as Endeavour whereas in few countries it is being sold as Everest. The upgraded version of Endeavour would be empowered with 2.5 litre and 3.0 litre diesel engine and mated with six speed manual gearbox along with new automatic transmission system. The SUV in Indian car market would be launched in first quarter of next year.

 

July 1, 2014: The new avatar of Ford Endeavour SUV would be launched in Indian car market by the end of 2015. Based on Everest concept the new Endeavour was showcased during the Beijing Motor Show 2014.
