Hii, I am Deepak Yadav, an employee in government sector and therefore have to satisfy needs of all my family members within the specific salary package, due to which I always wanted to buy a car which not only best suits to my budget but also adorns comfort features which are found in various renowned luxurious cars. As the result of which before buying a car for my family I intensively conducted research in market to find the car which meets my all expectations. Finally my search came to end three months back with Maruti Alto K 10, which in true sense was like my dreams designed in shape of car. The first thing which impressed was its two tone interior which was a perfect match of black and grey color. The fabric seats are integrated to provide a comfort traveling experience to passengers. Integration of two cup holders and helpful to hold milk bottle of your newly born baby.
Before buying Alto K 10, I had a feeling that air conditioner in small cars in not as efficient as it is in other luxurious cars, but doubt after buying Alto K 10 came to end, because its air conditioner is marvelous and equally cools all sections of cars. However one thing which disappointed me was that only front windows are power windows the rear windows are operated manually. Although one thing which pleased me was child lock because generally children have habit of touching everything with curiosity as the result of which sometimes they unlock the car while driving which results in severe accidents. But integration of child lock is helpful in restricting children from unlocking the doors while driving. Apart from that another thing which impressed me was integration of front fog lamps, because normally in winters there huge fog in roads during night time due to which you are not able to recognize surroundings clearly, moreover as every one in my family is crazy for long drives, I am sure this winter I will enjoy fearless long drive with my family.

The newly designed back door with a wedge and new rear combination lamps are truly remarkable. The Body side Moulding further provides a new sleek and stylish design to the car. The Car comes with Body Coloured Bumpers and beautiful full wheel covers that are interesting and notable features.

The Maruti Alto K10 ensures most decent of comfort and style with innovative features and some refreshingly young dynamics. Maruti Suzuki has incorporated the K10 with the unique and dynamic upholstery and colour schemes with its dual tone interiors. Good attractive fibres are not only good looking but also very comfortable and offer a good relaxation while on a long journey. The New Front Console is equally eye catching and vibrant with a spaciously huge dashboard and well positioned instrument panel. One very distinct feature from previous versions of Alto is the presence of a new 3- spoke Steering Wheel which is well equipped with adjustment feature and is easy to control being light weight. A big new Speedometer with stylish dials and beautiful display is placed right in front. The Cluster with integrated Tachometer is another distinct feature here which is both a marvel for style and utility. Good crafting finds it way within the edges of the new gear knob. As mentioned, Maruti Alto K10 offers great comfort with integrated headrests both in the front and the rear sections of the cabin.

The efficiency of the AC can be tested within seconds after turning it on in every corner of the cabin. The Power Steering is very easy for manoeuvring and light weight. The Remote Fuel Lid Opener is another feature is very handy feature of the car in the very best interests of one’s comfort and ease. Maruti Alto K10 comes well equipped with Central Locking and front power windows.
The Internally Adjustable outside rear view mirror comes handy in the new Alto K10. Apart from the common issues, the car also has a rear parcel tray, a vanity mirror and what not. The Doors are provided with the beautiful door trim fabric well equipped with rubber insulation. Some elegant features of the car include the key off reminder and an electronic trip meter.
The Car is exquisitely spacious and both the sections front and rear have a good leg space as well. The Head space and the roof height are well within the comfort. Apart from the cabin space, the car has a big sized boot space too.
Overall Interiors are excellent in style and comfort, perhaps the lack of a well equipped audio or stereo system is the only criteria for ‘missing’.

As mentioned, both the variants of the Maruti Alto K10 run on the same K series Engine also known as the K10B 1 litre petrol engine that has a significant displacement of about 1000cc and generates a decent power of around 68ps at 6200rpm and a torque of about 90Nm at 3500rpm. The Engine is all aluminium light weight engine. The Engine is incorporated with three cylinders each having a pack of 4 valves. The all new Maruti Alto K10 is well equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission with an all new Cable type gear shift. The new K10B Engine is more powerful and efficient than ever.
Maruti Alto K10 Pickup and Acceleration
Maruti Alto K10 offers a powerful pickup from 0-100 within 13 seconds which is very welcoming to the pleasure of further taking it to a top speed of around 140 Km/h. With these statistics, the car is the best in its class.

Safety Features in Maruti Alto K10
The Fascia Design of the car is not only captivating but also muscular and strong. With a sturdy built and sharp aerodynamics, car is pretty much safe in driving. Also the front bumper fog lamps make it easier in visibility through mists in the winters and rainy season. Shock absorbers are equally kept for the safety purpose. Seat Belts are firm however the car lacks airbags which counts for a missing credibility. Although the car has a collapsible steering column to prevent any harm to the driver in case of a mishap. Side Impact Beams, Child lock, headlight levelling feature, immobiliser iCATS (Integrated Computerised Anti- Theft System), high mounted stop lamp and a key off reminder are some other attributes that add to the safety of the car.

The Maruti Alto K10 has new gas filled shock absorbers that absorb bumps easily and effectively providing you a comfort drive and control. The New 13 inches tubeless tyres provide good grip on the road. The Car has a good gear shift ratio in a new technique called the Cable type gear shift which makes the transmission smooth and easy. The Alto K10 is provided with Ventilated Disc Brakes in the front tyres and a set of drum type brakes at the rear. As mentioned earlier, the power steering control is exceptionally good and very light weighted. The Car is also environment friendly and offers BS IV compliance and the ELV (End of life vehicles) ensuring high degree of recycling of raw material.

On the outside, Maruti Alto K10 boasts a contemporary design with bold angular headlights and bigger front grille. The lengthier car incorporates a refreshed set of tail lamps that blends well with the new design.
The inside of the Maruti Alto K10 is no less. The power steering to start off with, offers easy cruising. The easy to read instrument cluster and new gear knob do their duties in style; fresh upholstery with various colour schemes brings the interiors to life; integrated head-rests mounted both on the front and rear and comfortable seats provide fair support. The boot space is large enough to carry the baggage of a nuclear family.
Some of the features worth mentioning in the Maruti Alto K10 include internally adjustable outside rear view mirror which is very convenient, rear parcel tray, vanity mirror, cup holders and key off reminder. What adds ‘life’ to the car is its ELV or End of Life Vehicles compliance that makes the Alto K10 eco friendly drive allowing high degree of recycling for the raw materials of the car.
One might think that with all that Maruti Alto K10 offers- affordability and style, it might have overlooked safety of its passengers to some extent but it’s not true as this peppy, value for money car offers some very standard and interesting safety attributes. To begin with Maruti Alto K10 incorporates the iCAT that is Intelligent Computerized Anti Theft system that disables the ignition which results in immovability of the car in case someone does not use a factory supplied keys or tries to use duplicate keys. Some other features include fog lamps that render clear vision in tough weathers, child proof rear locks that prevent opening of the rear doors and last but not the least high mounted stop lamps that signal the following vehicles of the deceleration when the car’s left and right stop lamp is blocked by other vehicles.
The Maruti Alto K10 eats up potholes and bumps easily making it an ideal drive for Indian roads. The car seems in control at most times with the powered steering wheel. The compact car makes parking at difficult spot a breeze.
Overall, the Maruti Alto K10 is a total package that offers value for money as mentioned above, easy manoeuvrability, safety and looks in six exciting colour schemes. It’s no wonder that Maruti Alto K10 stands undefeated in the small car segment in India.
