PSI can be defined as a measurement to determine the exact percentage of air pressure in the tire of your car. The appropriate PSI helps in retaining the perfect grip on the road and referred to as pounds-per-square-inch (PSI). The PSI for each car is different from others and therefore depending upon the make of each car, every car manufacturer recommends the suitable PSI for its tires. Driving the less pressure may not flat the tire but there are chances that tire might come out of the wheel. Anyhow, if you are unaware of the appropriate PSI for tires of your car, you should visit any of the local garages or the car servicing station from where you normally get your car serviced or even visit the local car dealer to know the exact car pressure for your car.

It would be interesting to know nowadays most of the fuel stations have digital air pumps where it is easy to check the PSI. You just need to mention the exact figure of PSI for the tires and fix the nozzle of air pressure in the tires.  The valve of a tire will stop automatically as soon as the air pressure reaches the determined figure of PSI.

Finally, the last word, while filling the pressure in the tires of your car, do not forget to check the pressure of the spare tire, which is not less than a boon at the time of an emergency.
