Tata Safari Storme to be upgraded in 2013 with rich features
As per media reports Tata Motors is going to unveil a new variant of its newly launched SUV Tata Safari Storme, this year. The Company hasn’t upgraded the model, Tata Safari, since it got face lifted in 2012 in the form of Safari Storme. It remained unchanged for almost 12 years till October 2012. Now the industry speculates that the company will soon come up with a variant equipped with automatic transmission system. With this new upgrade Tata will introduce rich features be it for entertainment purpose or for off-road enthusiasm.

Tata Safari Storme’s hardcore 2.2 litre VARICOR diesel engine which is presently making 140 bhp and 320 Nm torque value is going to be amplified up to 160bhp and 400Nm of torque. The Safari Storme will be available in both 2WD and 4WD variant which can be engaged by the driver manually.
The model is also being upgraded for fulfilling entertainment purpose of the consumers by integrating music system Harmon Kardon along with sub-woofer and improved amplifiers.
Finally the aim of the company would have an upper hand while competing with Mahindra XUV 500 which is still waiting to be equipped with an automatic gearbox.

To test its potential features Tata Motors is performing various test in the desert of Rajasthan and conducting different events in various terrains of the country. As per reports Tata Safari Storme price upgrade is not available yet but it will likely to get 1-2 Lakh hike as other SUVs in this segment have also seen price increment of 1-2 %, this month. So it is obvious that Tata Safari Storme will not be immune to price hike.
