The festive season of 2012 is just round the corner and car makers have geared up to make its consumers happy with some fresh-juicy products. Ford and General Motors are amongst the various car makers who are planning to bring in fresh cars to the Indian car bazaar in this time of festivities. Ford Motors India to launch the facelift model of its most saleable model, Ford Figo. General Motors is also expected to add fire here by launching new Chevrolet Spark. And how can Maruti take the backseat, it is here, with volume seller Maruti Alto 800.

The 2012 Ford Figo is expected to be launched on 15th October 2012. This model will come with innovatively restyled head lights, new alloy wheels, power steering with audio controls mounted on it, two new color choices (yellow and Blue), and door trim material has also been revised. However, the technical specification of New Ford Figo will not been touched and it continues to feature diesel and petrol powertrains. Nevertheless, the engine could be tweaked to some extent in order to make-out higher fuel economy as compared to the ongoing variant.

Another new car launch scheduled on the same day is the new Chevrolet Spark. This upcoming car will be rolled out with ample of amends done on the outer surface. The new charming twin-slat grille on the front will certainly attract its buyers, while front and rear bumpers also see improvement alongside new set of spherical fog lamps will be seen. The 2012 Chevrolet Spark facelift was due since a long time and this Diwali turned out to be a right time for GM India to give its small car, Spark a pretty applauding makeover. The interiors here would see some minor changes in the material, while the under hood mechanism remains intact i.e. 1-litre of petrol engine.

Another matchless product in the array is New Maruti Alto 800, which will provide a thump of joy to mass segment car buyers in the country who have waited patiently for more than a decade for the makeover of older Alto. The small car now dons sporty dress up with modern front that has new headlights, new hexagonal bumper and eye-catching grille. Moreover, with enhanced interior quality and comfort it makes life easy for the occupants inside. Though not available in diesel avatar, it has got extremely frugal petrol motor that returns an ARAI certified 22.74 kmpl together with CNG counterpart that provides anything  around 30 km per kg.        

Hopefully, these car makers with their exclusive products will make the aspiring consumers happy this Diwali.
