Mahindra XUV300 Electric To Offer The Range Of 300 Km On A Single Charge

With the increasing practice of electrifying the existing portfolio by the major car manufacturers across the country, the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to launch the electric version of XUV300 in the Indian car market. The electric XUV300 will be launched against the Tata Nexon EV. Recently, some of the details regarding Mahindra XUV300 surfaced online briefing the features offered in the compact SUV.
 
It is reported that the domestic carmaker has endorsed that the upcoming vehicle will deliver an average of 375 km on a single charged. There will be two variants introduced in the XUV300 electric. The entry-level variant will deliver an average of 200 km on a single charge. The top-end variant is designed to offer an average of 375 km will be launched against the Tata Nexon EV, which offers an average of 312 km.

Although the ARAI test for the average is yet to be conducted, the home-grown company is confident to touch the mark of 375 km during the test. The vehicle is developed on the Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture 350 (MESMA). It is empowered with a 350-volt powertrain that is offered in various electric vehicles. It is rumoured that the company might also bring the performance-oriented variant of the electric XUV300.
 
Visually the electric XUV300 will look identical to its standard version, however with subtle cosmetic updates to make it look different from its elder sibling. Some of the changes that would be introduced in the upcoming version will include a set of new LED headlights with blue graphics, new bumpers on both the front and rear bumpers, a new front grille, and a few more. On the interior front, it will be embellished with new seat upholstery, wireless charger, new steering wheel, pop-out style touchscreen infotainment system, etc.
 
It is reported to be the first made in India electric SUV that would be exported to European and other countries. In India, it is speculated to be priced in the range of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
