Mahindra Reva NXR christened as E2O officially

The all new Mahindra Reva NXR has finally got an official name. This all new electric hatchback has been named E2O, where E signifies Energy and O signifies Oxygen. So the Mahindra Reva E2O means Energy to Oxygen. The launch of this one is going to take place very soon this year. Under the bonnet, the car will packed with an electric motor pepped up by lithium ion batteries. This engine is capable of churning out 48BHP of peak power. The new Reva E2O will be able to give a run of 100kms on a single full charge. If compared with the previous reports, the run has dropped from 160 to 100kms.

The car is capable of touching the top speed of 105 kmph with impressive acceleration that would make the engine give out respectable torque. The new Mahindra Reva E2O could be charged from any regular 15 Amp household socket, which makes charging of the car unruffled. However, the solar charging option is absent here, but could be installed externally for additional cost. Furthermore, the new Reva will be a four-seater and because of its compact size, it would become more practical and easy for the owner to park the car in city. With the sky-rocketing fuel prices, this electric wonder would also turn out to be very economical in the long run.

Coming to the comfort in new Reva E2O, the car will come with CVT gearbox that will be coupled with the electric motor. The price tag of the car will range between Rs. 5 – 6 lakh. The car will be manufactured at the new Mahindra-Reva manufacturing unit at the Electronics City located in Bangalore.
