The new Fiat Linea from Italian car maker Fiat Motors which was unveiled in the recently concluded Indian Auto Expo is soon going to be launched in Indian car market on March 4th, 2014. The new facelift will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, however continuing with the same engine configuration. The petrol variant will be equipped with 1.2 litre T-Jet petrol engine churning the power of 112.4 bhp and torque of 207 Nm, while the diesel mill will be equipped with 1.3 litre Advanced Multi-Jet diesel engine developing the power of 91 bhp and torque of 209 Nm. It is speculated to deliver an average of 13 kmpl in city areas and 17 kmpl on highways. With the ability of accelerating top speed of 165 kmph, the sedan picks the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 12.6 seconds.

 

The major changes which have been offered in new Fiat Linea are offered in the exteriors and interiors of this sedan, making it miles ahead from its outgoing model. The exteriors this time have been offered with various remarkable features including longer bonnet followed by dual parabola head lamps, the front radiator is developed with silver garnished treatments with logo of company mounted on it. Apart from it the front fascia also receives fog lamps. The body colored rear view mirrors can be adjusted electrically, along with this the door handles at the exteriors are black in color and are garnished with chrome polish. Moving towards the rear portion it also receives the same treatment similar to front portion. The wide tail lamp integrates fog lamps, single chrome tipped exhaust pipe, compact antenna, compact trunk gate and few others.

 

Moving towards the interiors the piano black interior grabs the attention of everyone entering inside the cabin for first time. The steering wheel has been given leather finish followed on gear knob. Other features include additional tray and cup holder on rear arm rest, power windows, 12 V power socket. The high defined audio system is capable of playing CD’s and FM radio according to your requirement. Other features offered in interiors include interior roof light, rear roof light, night panel, collapsible rear sun curtains, sunglass holder, front seat back pockets and various others.

 

Apart from above mentioned features new Fiat Linea is also blessed with various safety measures mainly dual front airbags, ABS+EBD, fire prevention system, anti theft engine immobilizer, three safety headrests, programmable speed limit indicators for controlling over speed etc.
